Jasbir Singh
President and CEO

Jasbir brings more than 18 years of high tech and telecommunications expertise. He started his career as an Engineering Manager at C-DoT, in charge of SS7 and ISDN groups. As an Engineering Manager at C-DoT, he helped design and develop SS7 subsystems in India's first digital switching system, which now serves close to 40% of all capacity in that country today.

Singh was co-founder and chief technical officer of Yack Inc, and was responsible for the development of its Internet Program Guide and content management software. This core enabling technology powered Yack’s renowned syndication network.

Jasbir is the Chairman of Launchpad Software Inc and Cybermine Internet Incubator. Cybermine is a holding company supporting businesses in which he has made personal investments that focus on wireless infrastructure and applications.

Launchpad Software is a MSP and software services company, and has been in operations since 1996.


  Raj Shingala
VP, Strategy and Business Development

In his role as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, Raj is responsible for defining the overall strategy for Pronto Networks. In addition, he focuses on business development that includes strategic sales, partnerships, acquisitions and investments.

Most recently, Raj performed an independent consulting project in Guyana, South America where he provided leadership and guidance in successfully introducing a new value added tax (VAT) for the country of Guyana and in revamping the domestic tax collection agency. Raj was the head of the project execution unit (PEU) and worked directly with the finance ministers and leadership of the country. Previously, Raj was a consultant at Bain & Co., a leading strategy consulting firm, where he advised senior management on growth strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions and technology. Prior to that, Raj was the Director of Strategy and Business Development at SAP, where he was part of the founding team of a technology startup (SAPMarkets) which grew to a $750M, 1700 employee company.

Earlier as a principal consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Raj worked on various technology issues at Wall Street investment banks and companies such as Fannie Mae, America Online and UPS.

Raj has an MBA from INSEAD, France. He also holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from University of Bombay.


Raj Raj Sundar
VP, Products & Services

At Pronto Networks, Raj is responsible for defining the technical direction of the company's product and professional services team. He ensures that product and service offerings meet the corporate objectives while delivering value to Pronto’s global customers. Raj joined Pronto Networks since inception and is part of the original team that conceptualized and designed the Pronto's UniFi OSS. Raj led the application development team that implemented patent pending “remote management capability” of the Pronto Service Controller, which is a part of Pronto Networks' core value proposition.

In his current position, Raj provides strategic direction in positioning Pronto's product offering as a service delivery platform beyond providing basic wireless Internet access. He continues to innovate features that would position Pronto as a strategic player in the new market place that is evolving in the wireless space where ubiquitous access is becoming the norm.

Prior to Pronto, he was with the U.A.E Exchange Center in Abu Dhabi as a senior database designer and lead programmer.

He received his Masters degree in Mathematics from Anna University in Chennai, India.


Nandu Desai
VP, Product Management

In his role at Pronto, Nandu Desai is responsible for defining and maintaining Pronto's product line, strategic partnerships and marketing channels. Working closely with sales channels and engineering groups, Nandu works with customers and partners to determine specific requirements in the areas of WLAN service management delivery platforms. He brings 18+ years of both business and technical experience to his role.

Previously, he was AVP Business Development for Syndesis, responsible for developing and maintaining Syndesis' strategic partnerships with telecom equipment manufacturers and other Operational Support System vendors. Earlier in his career, Nandu was Director, Market Development for Yurie Systems (acquired by Lucent in 1998), and held several positions in software development and product management for data networking and narrowband systems at Alcatel and NEC America in Dallas.

Nandu holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Baroda, India.

Arivan Govindan

VP, Solution Sales

In his current role as Vice President - Solution Sales at Pronto Networks, Arivan leads the solution sales team for the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets. He is responsible for driving the sales numbers of Pronto's UniFi OSS range of products for WLAN deployments to the Service Providers in the region. Working closely with a regional and global network channels, strategic partners and systems integrators, Arivan has been instrumental in signing up a good number of Tier 1 & 2 operators in the region. He has been with Pronto Networks since 2004.

Before Pronto Networks, he was with Reliance Infocomm and Siemens handling various responsibilities in the telecom solutions domain. He is an Engineering graduate in the field of telecom from Bharathidasan University, Trichy in India.
